Beginning February 1, the Environmental Sanitation Tax for 2024 charged by the Municipal governments of Cancun, Puerto Morelos and Solidaridad (Riviera Maya) to all lodge and resort visitors in their districts will change. Cancun
The charges that shall be robotically charged to your account in your subsequent go to to The Royal Sands and The Royal Cancun are as follows:
Room/Jr. Suite $76.00 pesos per evening
One-bedroom Suite $76.00 pesos per evening
Two-bedroom Villa $152.00 pesos per evening
Puerto Morelos
If you’re staying at Grand Residences, the Municipal Environmental Payment is $32.57 per room/door per evening and shall be multiplied by 2, 3 or 4 relying on the scale of the unit you might be staying in.
Riviera Maya
If you’re staying at The Royal Haciendas in the municipal district of Solidaridad in the Riviera Maya, the charges are as follows:
Room/Jr. Suite $32.57 pesos per evening
One-bedroom Suite $32.57 pesos per evening
Two-bedroom Villa $65.14 pesos per evening
This charge is in Mexican pesos and isn’t lined by the Member Membership Service Payment or by All-Inclusive or European Plan room charges.
The three municipal governments use the proceeds from the Environmental Tax to contribute to environmental safety, sanitation and neighborhood initiatives in their space.
